Nichole Santoro has been helping people in the North Seattle and Eastside communities with the use of Acupuncture, Massage and Chinese Herbs for over six years. With an eye for modern medicine and research combined with a sound knowledge of Ancient Eastern forms of medicine, Nichole provides an innovative holistic approach to healthcare that addresses the root cause of disease and pain in order to achieve lasting health and patient well-being. Originally from Virginia, she began her studies at VCU where she received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Religion. Her early exploration of the human psyche, spirituality and philosophy set the groundwork for her ability to treat patients as a whole person, mind and body.
At Bastyr University she began her studies in the Naturopathic Doctoral program, where she came to understand human health and disease from a Western medical perspective. After two years she shifted her focus to the Chinese Medical understanding of health and disease and ultimately received a Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2006. At the end of her studies at Bastyr, Nichole traveled to Chengdu, China to further study Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. While there she worked in an integrated teaching hospital, where Chinese and Western medicine were practiced complimentary to each other and under the same roof. This laid the ground work for her vision for an integrated practice, where many forms of treatment are available for patients. She has experience collaborating with other alternative health practitioners as well as medical doctors in order to provide clear and seamless healthcare for her patients. She knows from experience that by working together with other providers, people can be helped in ways that would have been impossible when working in isolation. It is her mission to provide a health care clinic where people have several modalities available to them in one facility, and the various practitioners work as a team for the benefit of the patient.
In forming the team at Alpine Integrated Medicine, Nichole hopes to bring the Redmond community a valuable resource for health and wellness that is truly patient centered and ultimately empowering to the people.
